LED Book Light Review
My first one lasted 2 1/2 yrs of traveling, use mis-use. It was great for stand-alone hands-free use when a night-light was needed, for whenever a small, intense light was needed, and even when clipped onto a book edge or other device. It went tent-camping, survived being dropped on hard surfaces, being lost among dust bunnies and nameless other things under a dresser, being rained-upon and run over by a car tire on a gravel drive. It was conservative with (2 hearing aid-type) batteries though used for several hours at a time, every night. (The batteries can be bought in multi-packs, are easily found and relatively inexpensive, especially compared to using 1 or 2 AAA's at a time, and 2-3 changes a week with my other book lights when they had to do the same job to replace this one.) The self-opening feature did well for over a year, but after the incident with the gravel driveway tire, it needed a little help. It did not survive the plunge into a swimming pool with chlorine in the water, alas. After much searching, I have #2 on order. I very much missed the 1st one after having such good service and finding it was so very handy for all sorts of crafts needing extra light in cramped space. It is a very focused light, so doesn't interfere if one wants to read or work on a craft while riding in passenger seat of car with cranky driver, or when reading in bed when one's partner wants to sleep.br /

short battery life. I do not recommend it - J. RIGOR - USA
How this item flips out when you press the button is pretty cool, other than that it is disappointing. The battery life was very short, there is no adjustment for the light intensity, which as first was too bright then dimmed after I have used it for 1 day. It is great with small paperback books, but not with big hardcover books. I had to move it to the other page when because the coverage is not good with hardcover books. Although it is cheap, replacing the battery would cost you more than getting a new one.
